Objective:To analyze the impact of family empowerment theory combined with extended nursing incorporating interac-tive goal attainment on sleep in patients with gastritis. Methods:A total of 82 patients with gastritis, treated at Jianning County General Hospital between December 2021 and December 2023,were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received family em-powerment theory combined with extended nursing incorporating interactive goal attainment. The two groups were compared in terms of negative emotions, sleep conditions, and sleep quality. Results:The observation group had significantly lower scores on the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)compared to the control group(P<0.05).The observation group also had shorter sleep latency and wake time, fewer awakenings, higher sleep efficiency, and longer total sleep duration(P<0.05).Moreover,the observation group had lower scores for sleep depth,re-entry sleep, sleep latency, sleep quality, and nighttime awakenings compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Family empowerment theory com-bined with extended nursing incorporating interactive goal attainment is effective in alleviating negative emotions and improving sleep conditions and quality in patients with gastritis. It is worth promoting further in clinical settings.
