Objective:To investigate the impact of a standardized cancer pain nursing process on pain and sleep quality in pa-tients with lung cancer. Methods:A total of 65 lung cancer patients with cancer pain, admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Fuzhou Second Hospital from October 2022 to October 2023,were selected and randomly divided in-to a control group(n=33,odd-numbered patients)and an observation group(n=32,even-numbered patients). The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group was treated with a standardized cancer pain nursing process.Satisfaction, anxiety scores caused by cancer pain, pain scores, and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results:The observation group had significantly lower scores than the control group in anxiety due to cancer pain(50.42±5.25 vs.54.83±6.52),pain scores(3.68±0.75 vs.5.26±1.06),and sleep quality scores(9.05±0.86 vs.13.96±1.54)(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was 96.88%,significantly higher than the 75.76%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing a standardized cancer pain nursing process significantly miti-gates negative emotions associated with cancer pain, alleviates discomfort, and enhances sleep quality, thus improving the overall quality of life in lung cancer patients.
