Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects of Suhuang Zhike capsule in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods:A total of 94 COPD patients treated at Shaowu Municipal Hospital from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 47 patients in each group in a double-blind trial.The control group was treated with budesonide-formoterol powder inhalation,while the observation group received Suhuang Zhike Capsule in addition to the same treatment.Both groups were treated for one month,and the clinical effects,lung function,polysomnography parameters,and subjective sleep quality were evaluated before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,the total efficacy rate in the observation group significantly exceeded that of the control group(x2=8.562,P=0.003).The observa-tion group showed higher forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),and FEV1/FVC ratio com-pared to the control group(P＜0.05).Furthermore,the observation group exhibited longer total sleep time(TST),higher sleep ef-ficiency(SE),shorter sleep latency(SL),and lower Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores relative to the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Combining Suhuang Zhike Capsules with budesonide-formoterol inhalation therapy significantly im-proves lung function,polysomnography parameters,and subjective sleep quality in COPD patients.
