Study on the Effect of Structured Education Combined with Precision Pain and Sleep Management on Insomnia in Lung Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy
Objective:To explore the effect of structured education combined with precision pain and sleep management on sleep quality and disease perception in lung cancer patients with insomnia during chemotherapy. Methods:A total of 73 lung cancer pa-tients with insomnia undergoing chemotherapy, treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from January 2021 to October 2023,were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(n=37)and an obser-vation group(n=36).The control group received routine care along with precision pain and sleep management, while the observa-tion group additionally received structured education. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),polysomnography(PSG),pain levels, and disease perception were compared between the two groups. Results:Before the intervention, the PSQI scores,PSG-re-lated indicators,Numerical Rating Scale(NRS)scores, and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire(BIPQ)scores were similar be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, all these measures significantly improved in both groups, with the obser-vation group showing more significant improvements than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Structured education com-bined with precision pain and sleep management significantly improves insomnia, effectively reduces pain, decreases negative dis-ease perception, and enhances chemotherapy tolerance in lung cancer patients. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
