Objective:To analyze the impact of continuity of care on sleep quality in patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods:A total of 60 patients with advanced lung cancer, treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from March 2023 to March 2024,were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(n=30),which received routine nursing care, and an observation group(n=30),which received continuity of care in addition to routine nursing care. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAMA)was used to compare the improvement in anxiety between the two groups before and after the inter-vention.A self-developed hospital questionnaire was used to assess patient compliance and family caregiver ability. The Visual Ana-log Scale(VAS)was used to compare the pain levels, while the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to evaluate changes in sleep quality. The Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)was used to assess improvements in quality of life. Results:After the inter-vention,the HAMA,VAS,and PSQI scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group. The SF-36 scores and patient compliance in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of continuity of care in the nursing manage-ment of patients with advanced lung cancer effectively improves patient compliance, enhances family caregiving abilities, alleviates negative emotions, and improves sleep quality, thereby enhancing the overall quality of life.
