Geological Characteristics and Genetic Analysis of Boneng Tin deposit in Laos
The Boneng sand tin mining area belongs to the residual slope type in areas Ⅰ and Ⅲ,while areas Ⅱ and Ⅳ belong to the alluvial-proluvial type. The former is distributed in the foothills and gentle slopes, with thick ore layers and significant changes in grade; The latter is distributed in modern river beds and on both sides, with a small scale,a thickness of 1-10 meters, and significant changes in grade. In general, the higher the content of iron manganese nodules and limonite in the residual slope layer, the higher the grade of tin.
