Biotechnology has found widespread applications in the field of mining ecological restoration,offering solutions for vegetation recovery and ecosystem reconstruction.This paper delves into the methods of utilizing biotechnology in mining ecological restoration and elucidates the applications of establishing genetic resource repositories,artificial propagation,introduction of species,gene conservation,breeding stress-tolerant plants,plant growth regulation,soil microbiome enhancement,ecosystem engineering,and microbial cooperation in genetic resource conservation.It emphasizes the importance of monitoring and evaluating modified ecological restoration strategies.Looking forward,a comprehensive approach that combines various technological methods,enhances plant diversity,optimizes plant-microbe symbiosis,explores novel gene editing techniques,innovates genetic resource protection,improves ecological engineering,develops monitoring technologies,conducts cost-benefit analyses,promotes societal involvement and education is advocated to achieve more efficient and sustainable mining ecological restoration.All these efforts are carried out with considerations for environmental risks and ecological ethics,aiming to reduce the disturbances caused by ecological restoration to the environment.
