Determination of gold in crude selenium by foam adsorption-flame atomic absorption spectrometry
The standard fire assay gravimetric method for the determination of gold in crude selenium is cumbersome,time-consuming and inefficient, and is not suitable for rapid analysis and detection of large quantities of samples in smelting enterprises. The feasibility of determination of gold content in crude selenium by polyurethane foam adsorption-flame atomic absorption spectrometry was studied. The research shows that:After the samples were dissolved by nitric acid+aqua royalty, foam plastic adsorption, and thiourea release, the FAAS method was used to determine gold at 242.80nm.The relative standard deviation of the results was 0.77%~2.23%,and the recovery rate was 97.3%~102.8%,which was consistent with the results of the standard method. It is suitable for rapid determination of gold in bulk crude selenium samples in smelting enterprises.
