Research on Process Mineralogy of a Copper Nickel Mine in Xinjiang
Taking a copper-nickel deposit in Xinjiang as the research object,an in-depth study was carried out on the chemical composition of the ore, focusing on the distribution characteristics of minerals,as well as the existing state and particle size of copper and nickel. The results show that the ore mainly contains two important valuable elements:copper and nickel, with a grade of 0.96%for copper and 0.55%for nickel.Copper mainly exists in the form of chalcopyrite,a small amount of copper is distributed in blue chalcopyrite and chalcopyrite, and occasionally some malachite and chalcopyrite can be seen, while nickel mainly exists in nickel pyrite, followed by purple pyrite. In addition, other metallic minerals mainly include limonite, while non-metallic minerals are mainly serpentine(some of which contain nickel).
