Study on ore-forming geological characteristics and prospecting direction of Yangling Vanadium deposit in Beishan,Gansu Province
The mining area is located in the Fangshankou-Yingzui Hongshan iron-gold-copper-nickel-tungsten-vanadium uranium-phosphorus metallogenic belt. The ore bodies in the mine are deposited in the carbonaceous SLATE at the bottom of the Lower Cambrian Shuangyingshan Formation, which is controlled by the secondary structure of the Luoyachushan complex syncline.A total of 15 industrial ore bodies have been delineated in the area, mainly distributed in the anticlinal core of No.Iii and the south and north wings of the complex synclinal of Luoya, with a length of 72m~1959m,a depth of 12m~1296m,a thickness of 1.04m~20.09m,an average thickness of 1.00m~4.78m,and an average grade of 0.541%~3.8276%.Yangling vanadium deposit belongs to exhale-sedimentation-metamorphic type deposit. In the diagenetic stage, due to the development of fold structure, vanadium in black rock series is adsorbed by carbon or clay minerals to form a rich ore layer. The higher the carbon content, the better the vanadium bearing property and the higher the grade of vanadium ore.
