Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Prospects of the Yuanbaoshan Molybdenum Mine in the Beishan Area,Inner Mongolia
This study focuses on the Yuanbaoshan molybdenum polymetallic deposit in the Beishan area, providing a comprehensive analysis of its geological background, deposit characteristics, and ore-forming mechanisms. The Beishan area is located at the junction of the Siberian,Kazakhstan, and Tarim plates, with the Yuanbaoshan molybdenum deposit situated at the northern edge of this complex tectonic-geological unit.Research on the area's ore bodies and mineral characteristics has revealed the coexistence of mid-high temperature and mid-low temperature hydrothermal activities, indicating multiple phases of mineralizing fluid activity.Notably,in the NWW-oriented fault zones and adjacent intrusive bodies, significant surface mineralization and anomalies in deep electrical polarization suggest the existence of large-scale magmatic hydrothermal activities. The results indicate that the Yuanbaoshan deposit has porphyry-type mineralization features and significant ore-forming potential. It is recommended to further explore the northern edge of Beishan to achieve significant breakthroughs in molybdenum prospecting in the area, providing an important reference for mineral exploration.
