Development and Application of Semi-automatic Electroslag Welder with Steel Claw Head for Aluminum Electrolysis Anode Guide Rod Group
The anode guide rod group is a metal structural component of the anode in an aluminum electrolysis cell.During the production process of the aluminum electrolysis cell, the anode guide rod group may be taken offline due to quality factors such as guide rod defects, welding defects, steel claw head defects, appearance geometric dimensions, and surface quality. After being taken offline, the guide rod group is repaired and qualified before entering the next cycle. The repair of the steel claw head is an important part of the guide rod repair process. The original repair process was to cut the scrapped steel claw head, saw the new steel claw head, groove and polish the joint surface, and then assemble and weld it.This process generates a significant pressure drop in the weld seam, making it difficult to ensure welding quality. The semi-automatic casting technology of steel claw head has successfully solved the problem of anode steel claw head welding, effectively improving welding quality, reducing weld pressure drop, improving labor efficiency, and reducing maintenance costs.
