Distribution characteristics of copper and iron elements in typical copper smelting slag and research status of recovery technology
Copper smelting slag is the main solid waste produced in the copper smelting process of primary ore,and its output is about 2-3 times that of crude copper.Cu,Fe and other metal elements in it have recycling value. At present, the treatment of copper slag is faced with technical problems such as difficult collaborative recovery of Cu and Fe,low utilization rate of Fe elements, high energy consumption of recovery, and difficult full quality and high value utilization of tailings. In recent years, technicians have carried out a lot of researches. In this paper, some research results are summarized in terms of mineralogical characteristics of various typical copper slag and Cu and Fe element recovery processes, and the basic principles, advantages and disadvantages of different types of recovery technologies are summarized, and the future development direction of Cu and Fe element recovery in copper slag is prospeced.
