Geochemical Characteristics and Prospecting Potential of the Shizhushan Polymetallic Deposit,Ningguo,Anhui,China
Cash, copper, tungsten, molybdenum, lead zinc and other mineral deposits have been discovered in the Ningguo area of Anhui Province, but due to the low level of geological work in the past, significant exploration results have not been achieved. This work conducted a 1:10000 soil geochemical survey in the Shizhushan area of Ningguo.Through multivariate statistical analysis of element data and analysis of mineralization potential,171 single element anomalies and 3 comprehensive anomalies in soil geochemistry were identified.Based on the analysis of comprehensive anomaly characteristics and anomaly prospecting potential, all three comprehensive anomalies have good prospecting potential for medium and low temperature hydrothermal filled lead-zinc polymetallic deposits. Finally, based on the geological conditions of the mineralization, the anomalies were verified and five vein shaped lead-zinc polymetallic deposits(mineralized)were discovered. Two ore bodies with a length exceeding 1 kilometer were found, with an average Pb grade of 3.87%and an average Zn grade of 1.20%.The ore bodies were controlled by northeast and southeast trending faults, indicating the potential for finding fault controlled lead-zinc polymetallic deposits in the region.
