Geological characteristics and prospecting indicators of a copper cobalt deposit in Katanga Province Congo
A copper cobalt mining area is located in the northwest of the Zambian Congo(Democratic Republic of Congo)copper belt,in the western part of the Katanga arc-shaped copper cobalt mineralization belt, with good geological conditions for mineralization. The strata exposed on the surface of the mining area are mainly the alluvial layers of the Tertiary rivers, and copper cobalt deposits are hosted in the thrust bodies. The rocks have generally undergone varying degrees of shallow metamorphism.Mineralization is divided into three mineralization layers, divided into 10 broad bands, and a total of 48 ore bodies have been delineated. The deposit is controlled by a certain layer and is a layer controlled copper cobalt deposit.Multiple prospecting indicators are obvious, and the research results have certain reference for the exploration of similar deposits.
