Determination of copper content in crude copper by electrolysis method
This article explores the determination of copper content in crude copper by current electrolysis gravimetric method, and corrects the measurement results using atomic absorption spectroscopy. The effects of electrolysis conditions and coexisting impurities on the analysis results were investigated separately. The results indicate that stable and reliable determination results can be obtained by dissolving the sample with dilute nitric acid and dilute sulfuric acid, precipitating and separating impurities such as silver. The experimental method is suitable for the determination of copper content in conventional crude copper samples. It has been proven through extensive production practice that the precision of the measurement results is good, with a relative standard deviation(RSD)of less than 0.1%.After verification with the same type of standard substance, the relative error of accuracy(RE)is less than 0.05%.This method has outstanding characteristics of small interference, simplicity, accuracy, and environmental protection, and can be widely applied in the daily detection and arbitration analysis work of quality inspection departments.
