Stability analysis of goaf based on Mathews stability diagram method
The stability of goaf is related to the safety of mining production. In order to facilitate and accurately analyze the stability of goaf and guide mine safety production.Taking a certain goaf of a lead-zinc mine as an example, the mechanical indicators or structural parameters of the goaf, such as RQD value, number of joint groups, joint roughness, and joint alteration degree, were obtained. The corrected rock Q value, stress coefficient, joint orientation coefficient, and gravity adjustment coefficient of the goaf were calculated, and then the stability number of the goaf was calculated; The shape parameters of the goaf, such as length, height, and width, were statistically analyzed.Based on this, the wall area and perimeter of the goaf were calculated, and the shape factor of the goaf was then calculated.Based on the stability number and shape factor of the goaf, the point where the goaf is located was determined on the Mathews stability map,and the stability of the goaf was determined based on the landing point position, thereby guiding the safety production of the mine. It's proved that the Mathews stability diagram method is accurate in analyzing the stability of mining areas.
