Effect of different deformation temperature on microstructure and properties of TC18 titanium alloy bars
In this paper, the effects of different deformation temperatures on the macrostructure, microstructure, tensile structure and fracture toughness of TC18 titanium alloy bars were compared and analyzed. The results show that TC18 titanium alloy bars with basket structure can be obtained by heating and forging in the temperature range of T(α-β)-5℃to T(α-β)+15℃,and with the decrease of deformation temperature, equiaxed α phases appear in the crystal, and the grain boundary α disappears. With the decrease of deformation temperature, the fracture toughness of the bar decreases with the decrease of deformation temperature, and the mechanical properties of longitudinal and transverse rooms are optimally matched at 865℃.
