Analysis and Research on Green Trade Barriers and Low Carbon Development Strategies Faced by the Nonferrous Metals Industry
Green trade barriers have become an important issue that the non-ferrous metal industry needs to face in the long run.This article provides a brief introduction to green trade barriers through specific cases,and points out that the key issues are actually the carbon emissions of enterprises and the carbon footprint of products.Given that China's non-ferrous metal enterprises are at the international leading or advanced level in energy consumption,the core of the"carbon"issue is actually the problem of energy structure.Based on this,this article proposes several suggestions to address green trade barriers,especially that conducting green product evaluations is a practical and feasible response measure.Although green trade barriers may increase costs for businesses,they can also bring some positive effects to them.
