Experimental study on beneficiation process of a copper oxide ore in Congo
A high-acid oxidation-consuming copper ore in the Democratic Republic of the Congo,Cu 1.54%,Co 0.028%,S 0.12%,oxidation rate 87%.The acid consumption of raw ore hydrometallurgy direct leaching is relatively high, and the acid consumption perton of copper reaches 15.29t/tCu.Through the test and research of the floating-magnet joint process, the feed grade of hydrometallurgy is improved, and the sulfide ore and oxidized ore are selected for roasting leaching and direct leaching respectively,so as to reducethe copper acid consumption per ton of hydrometallurgy. The high-acid-consuming copper ore undergoes a floatation-magnetism combined process of first flotation of sulfide ore, second sulfide flotation of oxidized ore,and magnetic separation of flotation tailings.Thecomprehensive recovery rate of copper metal is 79.29%.Among them, sulfide concentrate Cu 21.17%,recovery rate 13.54%,oxide concentrate Cu 2.74%,recovery rate 60.49%,magnetic separation concentrate Cu 3.49%,recovery rate 5.26%.Roasting leaching and direct leaching of concentrate products respectively, the acid consumption is 0.38,7.58,5.62t/tCu respectively, compared with the direct leaching of raw ore,the acid consumption perton of copper drops significantly.
