Exploring the geological characteristics and prospecting indicators of Xiajiaping gold deposit
Xiajiaping gold deposit is an important gold deposit discovered in Tianshui City,Gansu Province. The deposit is mainly distributed in the southeastern part of Tianshui City,on the gold silver polymetallic mineralization belt in the eastern section of the reverse"S"arc structure of the western Qinling Mountains. It is mainly hosted in the Qinling rock group(Paleoproterozoic)and the Liziyuan group(Lower Paleozoic Upper Proterozoic).During the mineralization process, magmatic activity provided a large amount of ore-forming hydrothermal fluid, which was clearly controlled by the fault structural belt. The Xiajiaping gold mine is mainly composed of three ore belts. The characteristics of ore body production are lens shaped or belt shaped, and have features such as shrinkage and expansion, sharp extinction reproduction, and branching and recombination.Silicification, carbonation, and pyrite mineralization are widely developed on the periphery of ore bodies, but there is a very close correlation between pyrite mineralization and gold mineralization. This article mainly analyzes and discusses the geological characteristics of the Xiajiaping gold deposit, and based on this, elaborates on the genesis of the deposit. It is hoped that through this study, the enormous potential of the gold resources contained in the area can be better demonstrated, providing some reference and guidance for future geological exploration work.
