Research on the Process Practice of Improving Zinc Germanium Recovery from Secondary Zinc Oxide Powder
In the conventional process of secondary zinc oxide powder treatment, germanium is dispersed in the neutral leaching solution and high acid leaching slag, etc. The germanium into the neutral leaching solution accounts for a large proportion, resulting in germanium loss to the iron slag in the neutral leaching solution in the subsequent iron removal process, which seriously reduces the germanium recovery rate.In this experiment, the influence of the main influencing factors on the leaching rate of zinc, germanium and indium during neutral leaching and high acid leaching was studied. The optimum conditions were obtained:neutral oxidation leaching with hydrogen peroxide addition of 2~2.5mL/L,leaching temperature of 75℃~80℃,leaching time of 1.5~2.0h,and endpoint control of pH5.0-5.2;high-acid leaching with the starting acid concentration of 210-230g/L,manganese powder addition of 6-8g/L,liquid-to-solid ratio of 5-6:1,leaching temperature of 80℃~85℃,leaching time of 2.0~2.5h.The results show that after optimizing the leaching process, the germanium in the middle leach supernatant is less than 1 mg/L the proportion of germanium in the middle leach supernatant is less than 8%,and the total leaching rate of zinc, indium and germanium can reach 96.02%,91.58%and 87.90%.
