Failure and Mechanism Analysis of Graphite Rotors for Aluminum Melting Purification
The rotary nozzle refining method is currently the most widely used aluminum melt purification technology both domestically and internationally. With the demand for high-quality development of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloys, casting production has put forward higher quality and longer service life requirements for its key component graphite rotor. This study investigates the failure influencing factors of loose tissue at the upper end of graphite rotors during use,and proposes improvement measures. The improved graphite rotor has doubled its average service life, reduced replacement frequency, and increased economic benefits.
