Application and Prospect of Magnesium Alloy in Railway Vehicles
Magnesium alloy has gradually become an important material in the manufacture of railway passenger cars because of its excellent lightweight characteristics and high strength.At present,the application of magnesium alloy in railway passenger cars mainly focuses on the car body structure,wheels and accessories,which can effectively reduce the weight of the whole car and improve energy efficiency and running speed.Through the in-depth study of corrosion resistance,weldability and processing technology of magnesium alloy,the problem of its performance decline in high strength environment is solved.In the future,with the continuous research and development of new magnesium alloy materials and the progress of surface treatment technology,magnesium alloy will have a broad application prospect in railway passenger cars,and it is expected to achieve higher safety and economy.In order to promote the application of magnesium alloys,it is necessary to strengthen the standardization of materials and industry norms,promote technical exchanges and cooperation,and promote the healthy development of the industrial chain.
