A New Approach to Exploration of Lannigou Gold Mine in Zhenfeng County,Guizhou Province
The Lannigou Gold Mine(Jinfeng)in Zhenfeng County,Guizhou Province,is an old mine that has been in production for many years.The overall level of work in the mining area is high,and various prospecting methods have basically covered the entire area.The difficulty of prospecting is as great as finding a needle in a haystack.It is difficult to achieve a breakthrough in mineral exploration in the Jinfeng mining area without a shift in new mining strategies.In this context,based on the existing engineering control level,this work fully sorted out various types of data in the early stage and innovatively proposed a comprehensive exploration approach of mathematical geology and spatial mineralization.Adhering to this idea,through field and underground investigations,it was found that the occurrence of ore bodies is closely related to folds,mostly developed on one wing or core of tightly closed folds,not only controlled by fault structures,but should be jointly controlled by folds and faults.Based on new exploration ideas and on-site investigations,target areas were proposed for verification,and redundant ore sections were identified as key exploration areas.
