A gold mine development project in Haixi Prefecture,Qinghai Province adopts drilling and blasting method for construction.This article elaborates on the reasonable layout of large-diameter boreholes as the initial compensation space for excavation blasting and the example of"more boreholes and less explosives"sub smooth blasting,which ensures high cycle footage and smooth blasting effect,improves the utilization rate of boreholes,reduces the consumption of explosives,improves the formation of tunnels,is conducive to support and safety,and achieves good economic and safety benefits.
