Study on the Impact of Environmental Regulation on the Export Competitiveness of China's Manufacturing Industry——From the Perspective of Input and Output
From the perspective of input and output,this paper constructs the measurement indicators of environmental regulation and manufacturing export competitiveness,constructs the measurement model of 26 manufacturing industries in China from 2007 to 2016,and makes an empirical analysis.The empirical demerits are as follows:1)input-end and output-end environmental regulation will have different effects on the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry.At the input side,the impact of environmental regulation on the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry shows a positive"U"shape,that is,in the short term,environmental regulation will inhibit the improvement of China's manufacturing export competitiveness,and in the long term,it will promote the improvement of China's manufacturing export competitiveness;2)On the output side,the impact of environmental regulation on the export competitiveness of manufacturing industry presents an inverted"U"shape.In the short term,the improvement of the intensity of environmental regulation will enhance the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry,while in the long term,it will inhibit the improvement of the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry;3)Technological innovation,human capital and other control variables will also affect the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry to a certain extent.
