Research Progress on Passivation of Heavy Metals in Farmland Soil by Clay Minerals:A Review
The problem of heavy metal pollution in farmland soil cannot be ignored, and there is an urgent need for in-depth theoretical research and effective remediation techniques.Clay minerals have shown good passivation effects and application prospects in the study of passivating heavy metals in farmland soil. This article collects relevant literature on the use of clay minerals in the remediation of heavy metal contaminated farmland soil in recent years, introduces the structural characteristics of commonly used clay minerals such as montmorillonite, summarizes the passivation mechanism of clay minerals on heavy metals, comprehensively analyzes the passivation effect of clay minerals on heavy metals, explores the influence of clay mineral adsorption capacity, application amount of clay minerals, soil pH,and soil moisture on passivation effect, and proposes that the stability and persistence of clay mineral passivation of heavy metals, modification of clay minerals, and combination of clay minerals with other materials are the focus of future research,in order to provide reference for theoretical research and production practice of clay mineral passivation remediation of heavy metals in farmland soil.
