Study on Temporal and Spatial Change of Cultivated Land in Hebei Province in Recent 40 Years
To better utilize the arable land resources in Hebei Province, research was conducted on the spatiotemporal changes of arable land in Hebei Province over the past 40 years.Based on the data of cultivated land in Hebei Province, this paper quantitatively analyzes the characteristics of cultivated land change by combining dynamic degree, stochastic matrix and transfer atlas.Research shows that between 1980 and 2020,arable land was the most important land resource in Hebei Province, concentrated in the southern region. The three cities with the largest changes in arable land are Baoding,Handan, and Shijiazhuang, while the city with the smallest changes in arable land is Qinhuangdao. From the perspective of transfer in and out, from 1980 to 2020,the main direction of farmland loss was farmland → urban land, with a total loss of 26 676 km2.The main sources of farmland were urban land, grassland, and forest land, with a total loss of 18 029 km2.Between 1980 and 2020,the newly added area of cultivated land in Hebei Province was 18 014 km2,with Zhangjiakou,Chengde, and Baoding having the highest newly added area of cultivated land, with 4 225 km2,3 768 km2,and 1 925 km2 respectively. The area of cultivated land shrinkage in Hebei Province is 26 661 km2,among which Zhangjiakou,Chengde, and Baoding have the largest areas of cultivated land shrinkage, with 5 017 km2,4 190 km2,and 3 064 km2,respectively.This study can provide data support for the policy of land occupation and compensation.
