Qian Zeng and Ji Zhenyi are both great masters in book collecting in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces in the Qing Dynasty. They get to know each other in the fifth year of Kangxi reign when Ji Zhenyi returns home to visit his family. In the sixth year of Kangxi reign,Ji Zhenyi sponsors the publication of Qian Qianyi's Qian Zhu Du Shi,and in the same year,he buys many volumes of Song edition of the book from QianZeng, and the Tang poetry manuscripts of Qian Qianyi are mixed in them.In the twelfth year of Kangxi reign,Ji Zhenyi completes the compilation of The Complete Tang Poetry with the remains of Mu Zhai as the blueprint, and later they are mostly selected from The Imperial Complete Tang Poetry.During the period of Ji Zhenyi's illness,Qian Zeng writes a poem One Hundred Rhymes of Ji Cangwei to give consolation.Although the time cannot be tested,it is enough to prove that they gather in Huqiu from the tenth to twelfth year of Kangxi reign, and also provides relevant clues for the textual research of Ji Zhenyi's death.
