Practice and Thinking of Urban Renewal:Taking Shijiazhuang Shimeiji Plot as an Example
China's urbanization rate reached 65.22%in 2022.The continuous increase of urban permanent residents has put forward higher requirements for urban construction,but the idle factories left over from the industrial era have severely hampered urban development.Therefore,how to upgrade and transform abandoned factory plots in the post-industrial era and make up for the shortcomings of surrounding public services has become a major issue for local governments to balance urban development and people's livelihood.Taking Shimeiji plot in Shijiazhuang as the representative of the old industrial plant,this paper analyzes the experience in revitalizing the stock resources of the site and improving the living facilities of the surrounding residents,which can provide ideas for implementing the people-centered development concept and promoting urban renewal.
