A Preliminary Analysis of the Research Path on the Completion Time of Shennong Bencao Jing from the Perspective of"Ancient Books"
There are seven main conclusions in the academic discussion on the time of the completion of the Shennong Bencao Jing,but most of them have not been based on the perspective of the ancient books themselves.The formation and dissemination of ancient books is a complex process,characterized by diverse material sources,diverse author groups,and diverse creative thinking,as well as multiple linear,embedded,and long-term text dissemination characteristics.Therefore,the Shennong Bencao Jing may have been included in the Yiwen Zhi of the Book of Han,and its initial version may have been formed during the process of folk"secret transmission of medical skills".The four volume version compiled by Tao Hongjing is revised version.Therefore,the existing conclusions are still worth discussing,and this question can continue to be explored.However,the key is to grasp the essential attribute that the"Shennong Bencao Jing"is an"ancient book",and it needs to be supported by materials unearthed underground to reveal the truth.
