Study on Linguistic Features of Beneficial Referring Expressions in Ecological Education Discourse
The beneficial referring expression,which is the finishing touch of a discourse,makes a great contribution to the ecological meaning.Most of beneficial referring expressions are in the form of noun phrases which contain multiple grammatical slots and provide a structural basis for the expression of rich ecological meanings.The semantic features of these referents are the main concern.It is found that attitudes,high accessibility and concept prominence are expressed by use of strategies such as the use of nicknames,the replacement of tenors with vehicles,cross-domain collocation,cross-domain word diction,word imitation and inscription,which plays a positive role in enhancing the consciousness of ecological civilization construction.Besides,a generative system is proposed to provide a way to construct more ecologically beneficial referring expressions.
