Based on the research paradigm of grounded theory,this paper builds a theoretical model of influencing factors of post retention intention of primary school head teachers,and an empirical analysis of the post retention intention and influencing factors of primary school head teachers has been conducted by exploring the impact of various variables on their post retention intention.The result shows that work intensity and student safety have a significant negative impact on their post retention intention.Salary,promotion and development,interpersonal relationship,school management and job identity have significant positive effects on job retention intention.The influence of education background and school location has significant differences on job retention intention.In order to enhance the head teachers'willingness to stay,it is necessary for the government and schools to work together to optimize the post requirements of primary head teachers,improve the work benefits of them,create a good post environment,and pay attention to the individual demands of them.At the same time,head teachers should also continuously improve their professional quality to lay a better ability foundation for continuing work.Meanwhile,the teacers should also continuously improve their professional competence and work ability.
