After the"Double Reduction"policy,after-school service,as an important measure to ease parents'transportation difficulties, reduce students'homework burden, and manage off-campus training, has once again been promoted to a new policy height, and has become a hot topic of common concern from all walks of life. This study finds that there still are a few practical problems such as ineffective implementation of the delay policy, single teacher structure, unstable funding sources and large differences among regions, shortcomings in content, unreasonable incentive methods, and inadequate policy promotion.Based on these problems, the following suggestions are put forward:To clarify the attributes of after-school service and reach a policy consensus; To mobilize multi-subject participation to form family-school-community synergy; To expand the sources of funds and share the cost of after school services reasonably; To make up for the shortcomings of the content to meet the needs of students'all-round development; To stimulate teachers in various forms and alleviate teacher burnout; To strengthen policy advocacy and implementation, and enhance parents'understanding and recognition.
