Study on the Impact of Fault Displacement and Seismic Actions at Different Temporal Sequences on Tunnel Behavior
In responsse to the superposition effect of earthquake and fault displacement on the struc-ture of the tunnel crossing active fault,a three-dimensional finite element(FE)was used to analyze the damage characteristics and the influence of the articulated design on the damage of the tunnel structure crossing the reverse fault under earthquake, displacement and two different temporal sequences. The re-sults show that the damage caused by the first displacement and then the earthquake is more serious, and the tensile damage is the main one.Under the action of first displacement and then earthquake, the tensile and compressive damage rates of the tunnel increase by 44%and 85.7%,respectively,compared to the first earthquake and then the displacement, and increase by 200%and 550%,respectively com-pared to the single displacemnet. After the hinge is set,the tensile and compressive damage rates of the tunnel are reduced by 84%and 85.7%,respectively,under the action of first earthquake and then dis-placement.Under the action of first displacement and then earthquake, the tensile and compressive damage rates of the tunnel are reduced by 66.7%and 76.9%,respectively.
