Implementing the spirit of national security and comprehensively enhancing the national security awareness of college students are the top priorities of safety education in colleges and universities in my country in 2023.In order to comprehensively understand the current cognitive status of college students on the overall national security concept and promote the further development of national security concept education in universities in Hebei Province,the research team conducted a survey among college students in many universities in Hebei Province.The survey found that some college students have poor understanding of national security.There is insufficient awareness of the importance and urgency of national security education.Some universities have problems such as the lack of organizational guarantees and supervision and assessment mechanisms,insufficient curriculum and teaching content,lack of practical opportunities for students,and insufficient publicity in national security education.The main factors for unsatisfactory results were analyzed in depth,and finally relevant suggestions were put forward to strengthen the overall national security education of college students,hoping to provide useful help for government decision-making and universities to improve and implement national security education-related policies.
