In the large cross-section road tunnels with drilling and blasting method as the primary excavation technique,a well-designed ventilation system is essential for ensuring construction progress and worker safety. To quickly remove the pollutants generated by blasting from the tunnel,it is necessary to choose a reasonable ventilation method and equipment.Using the inclined shaft section of the Liangwangshan Tunnel as a case study, this paper, based on the theory of construction planning and ventilation design, divides the ventilation into three stages.According to the characteristics of the construction line in different phases,it briefly describes the challenges and key points of the ventilation process. Finally, ventilation schemes for each stage are designed, and optimization measures for the ventilation system are proposed to serve as a reference for similar tunnel projects.
