High-inrush water tunnels,due to construction activities,generate inrush water mixed with a large amount of sediment,and exhibit high flow velocities.As the national environmental protection efforts continue to increase,the discharge water quality from tunnel inrushes water must meet local environmental standards.Limited by the geographical environment of the mountainous area where the project is located,the high-efficiency sedimentation tank,characterized by its high integration degree,small occupation area,stable effluent quality,and good treatment performance,is very suitable for treating inrush water in such tunnel projects.This paper explains the application of high-efficiency sedimentation tanks in the treatment of construction inrush water in the Tianheshan Tunnel of He-Xing Railway,further analyzing the advantages and development prospects of high-efficiency sedimentation tanks for managing construction inrush water in railway tunnel engineering.
