To address common issues such as large secondary lining load distribution, concrete cracking, and spalling in tunnels after completion and other common problems, this study takes the Yaocaotai tunnel project as an example.Using ANSYS numerical computation software,a load-structural model was established to assess structural safety under different secondary lining thickness conditions for Type Vb linings. The results show that thinning the thickness of the second lining to improve the second lining force state has an obvious effect. When the thickness was reduced from the original design of 50 cm to 30 cm,the second lining structural safety coefficient still met the standard requirements, indicating potential for further optimization and reduction.
