A New Cultivar of Bambusoideae:×Bambudendrocalamus'Lijiao'
×Bambudendrocalamus'Lijiao'is a new bamboo cultivar bred from Bambudendrocalamus'Chengmaqing 1',which has flowering and seed set.In 2020,the seedlings were obtained from the Bambudendrocalamus'Chengmaqing 1'in the bamboo-rattan germplasm bank of Guangxi Forestry Research Institute.After propagation and cultivation for years,it was found that the morphological characteristics of the propagated plant are obviously different from that of the original variety,and the variation characteristics are stable after separating and transplanting.It is then named×Bambudendrocalamus'Lijiao'.The difference between'Lijiao'and'Chengmaqing 1'is that the apex of the sheath of the former extends upward into sharp angles on both shoulders,and the surface of its leaves is non-smooth,with obvious longitudinal grooves.Whereas the apex of the sheath of the latter is concave,but not extends upward on either shoulder,and the leaves is flat.This paper describes the morphological characteristics and cultivation techniques of'Lijiao'.
