Promoting High-Quality Development of China's"South Bamboo Transplanted to the North"in the New Era:Thoughts and Suggestions
Bamboo has important ecological,economic and cultural values.China has taken continuous efforts to introduce bamboo species in the Sough to the North and implemented a number of projects.As the results,bamboo has been widely applied in the north,with increasing scales,which has effectively promoted the economic and social development in northern China.This paper elaborates on the important role and opportunities of bamboo in the economic and social development in northern China,and proposes targeted suggestions for promoting high-quality development of China's initiative of"South bamboo transplanted to the North"in the new era.In the new era,the overlapping of the policies such as ecological protection and high-quality development strategy in the Yellow River Basin,the construction of the Yellow River-Grand Canal National Cultural Park and rural revitalization strategy provides a good opportunity for the implementation of the initiative.To promote the introduction of the southern bamboo species to the North,it is necessary to identify the accurate positioning,implement policies in a science-based manner,respect regional characteristics,developing scientific planning and layout,and optimize the enabling environment.
