Professor Zhang Mianzhi with rich experience in the treatment of membranous nephropathy believes that this disease is rooted in kidney deficiency and blood stasis and associated with the wind pathogen,damp turbidity,and heat toxin.Accordingly,he proposes the treatment principle of tonifying kidney and activating blood.Furthermore,he puts for-ward that the prescriptions should be selected based on syndrome differentiation for reinforcing healthy qi,expelling patho-gen,and harmonizing yin and yang,achieving good therapeutic effect.
