Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Li Diangui's Experience in Treating Chron-ic Atrophic Gastritis by Promoting Blood Circulation and Resolving Blood Stasis
This paper summarized the clinical experience of Professor Li Diangui,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,in treating chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)by promoting blood circulation and resolving blood stasis.Professor Li advocates the theory that turbid toxins lead to blood stasis,and believes that CAG is primarily due to the obstruction of qi and blood flow,leading to stasis in stomach collaterals,no production of new blood,and a consequent lack of nourishment to stomach.Over time,this may result in a reduction and atrophy of glandular tissues and even pathological changes such as intestinal metaplasia.The treatment method focuses on promoting blood circulation and resolving blood stasis,while also in-tegrating other strategies based on the patient's clinical symptoms,such as regulating qi,cooling blood,nourishing yin,stop-ping bleeding,reducing masses,tonifying qi,and employing a combination of eliminating and tonic treatment.The treatment aims for a comprehensive approach that resolves stasis without damaging healthy qi and uses blood activation as a means for addressing the root cause.The clinical outcomes have been significantly effective.
