Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Arteriosclerosis Obliterans of Limbs with Xiaoshuan Zhitong Capsules combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Xiaoshuan Zhitong Capsules combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction in treating patients with arteriosclerosis obliterans of limbs.Methods Ninety patients diagnosed with arteriosclerosis obliterans of limbs at the Vascular Department of Shijiazhuang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hebei Province from January 2017 to June 2022 were selected as study participants.They were divided into a control group and a study group by random number table,with 45 in each group.All patients received routine western surgical interven-tion with abdominal aorta-to-femoral artery puncture.The control group was given Buyang Huanwu Decoction,while the study group was given Xiaoshuan Zhitong Capsules on the basis of the control group.After two weeks of treatment,clinical efficacy,adverse reactions,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,blood flow velocity indices(mean blood flow velocity and peak flow spectrum),and serum biochemical markers[uric acid(UA)and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)]were assessed.Results The two groups had a reduction in TCM syndrome scores(P＜0.05)after treatment,with the study group exhibiting lower scores than the control group(P＜0.05).Similarly,improvements in mean blood flow velocity and peak flow spectrum were observed in both groups(P＜0.05),and the study group had greater im-provements(P＜0.05).Levels of hs-CRP and UA decreased in both groups after treatment(P＜0.05),with the study group showing a more significant reduction(P＜0.05).The overall clinical effective rate in the study group was 95.56％(43/45),higher than 82.22％(37/45)in the control group(x2=4.050,P＜0.05).No serious adverse reactions were re-ported in either group during treatment.Conclusion Xiaoshuan Zhitong Capsules combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoc-tion effectively improved hemodynamics,regulated metabolic responses,and suppressed inflammatory reactions in patients with arteriosclerosis obliterans of limbs,demonstrating superior clinical efficacy and high safety.
