Chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS)is a chronic inflammatory disease occurring in the mucosa of the nasal si-nuses.According to the theory of"Turbidity Evil Obstructing Qing"by Ye Tianshi,damp-heat pathogenic factors can ob-struct the clear yang,leading to blockage of the nasal passages.This paper the basic pathogenesis and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment principles of CRS based on this theory.The basic pathogenesis of CRS involves the retention of pathogenic factors obstructing the clear yang,resulting in the stagnation of clear qi and blockage of the nasal passages.Clin-ical treatment should focus on promoting the spleen's ability to produce nourishing substances,elevating the clear and dis-persing the turbid,aromatizing and eliminating the turbid,clearing heat and promoting blood circulation in order to effec-tively treat the root cause of the disease.
