Effect of Anchang Xiaokui Acupoint Catgut Embedding Combined with Mesalazine on Ulcerative Colitis of Kidney and Spleen Yang Deficiency Type and Its Influence on Serum Inflammatory Factors and Immune Function
Objective To explore the effect of Anchang Xiaokui acupoint catgut embedding combined with me-salazine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC)of kidney and spleen yang deficiency type and its influence on serum in-flammatory factors and immune function.Methods A total of 90 patients with UC admitted in our hospital from October 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the study subjects and divided into a study group and a control group according to simple random number table method,with 45 patients in each group.The control group was treated with mesalazine enteric-coated tablets,and the study group was treated with the method of embedding thread at the acupoint of Anchang Xiaokui in addition to the treatment received by the control group.After 4 weeks of treatment,the therapeutic effect,treatment safe-ty,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,endoscopic scores,inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),interferon-γ(IFN-γ)]and immune function(CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+)levels were compared between the two groups.Results(1)TCM syndrome score:After treatment,the scores of main and second-ary symptoms in the two groups decreased compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05).Additionally,thescores of main and secondary symptoms in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).(2)Endo-scopic score:After treatment,the endoscopic scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the score of the study group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).(3)Treatment effect:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group(95.56％)was higher than that in the control group(82.22％)(P＜0.05).(4)Inflammatory factors:After treatment,the serum levels of TNF-α,IL-6,and IFN-γin both groups decreased compared to before treatment,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Moreover,the levels of these inflammatory factors in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).(5)Immune function:After treatment,the levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+populations in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the levels of the study group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).(6)Safety:No adverse no adverse reactions were ob-served in either group during the treatment,and no abnormalities were found in blood lipid,liver function and routine blood tests after treatment.Conclusion The combination ofAnchang Xiaokui acupoint catgut embedding and mesalazine in the treatment of UC with kidney and spleen yang deficiency can relieve the clinical symptoms,reduce the expression of inflam-matory factors,improve immune function,and enhance the overall treatment effect,with good safety.
