Clinical Study on the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis by Three-Angle Traction Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Dialectical Fumigation
Objective To observe the clinical effect of three-angle traction combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)dialectical fumigation in the treatment of cervical spondylosis. Methods A total of 76 patients with cervi-cal spondylosis treated at the Neck and Back Pain Center of the Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital of Henan Province from De-cember 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the research subjects and were randomly divided into a control group(n=38)and an observation group(n=38).The control group was treated by traction in sitting position combined with TCM fumiga-tion,while the observation group was treated with three-angle traction combined with dialectical fumigation of TCM.After one course of treatment, the clinical effects of the two groups were observed and compared. The degree of pain was evalua-ted with the simple McGill Pain Questionnaire(MPQ)and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)before and after treatment, and the Neck Disability Index(NDI)was recorded, the Range of Motion(ROM)was measured to evaluate the cervical spine mobili-ty,and the changes of cervical curvature before and after treatment were observed and compared. Results After treatment, both the Patient-Rated Inventory(PRI)index and VAS scores decreased significantly compared to before treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Additionally,the PRI index and VAS score in the observation group were significantly low-er than those in the control group(P<0.05).The NDI decreased significantly in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),and the NDI in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The ROM scores decreased significantly in both groups after treatment, and the chord distance increased significantly compared to before treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Furthermore,the ROM scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the chord distance was significantly longer than that in the control group(P<0.05).The overall clinical efficacy rate in the observation group after treatment was 94.73%(36/38),which was signifi-cantly higher than that in the control group(86.84%[33/38]),with statistical significance(Z=2.693,P=0.007).Con-clusion Combining three-angle traction with TCM dialectical fumigation therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with cervical spondylosis, such as pain and restricted movement, and it also helps to restore the curva-ture of the cervical spine. This treatment method is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
