Clinical Efficacy of Zishuiqinggan Decoction Combined with Cerebrolysin in the Treatment of Patients with Posterior Circulation Ischemic Vertigo and Its Influence on Brain Neurotransmitters
Objective To explore the curative effect of Zishuiqinggan Decoction combined with cerebrolysin on posterior circulation ischemic vertigo and its influence on brain neurotransmitters. Methods A total of 100 patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo admitted to the People's Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cerebrolysin, while the observa-tion group was treated with Zishuiqinggan Decoction in addition to cerebrolysin. The treatment course for both groups was 2 weeks. The changes in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score, basal and vertebral artery blood flow velocity, and brain neurotransmitter(5-hydroxytryptamine,dopamine)levels were recorded before and after treatment for both groups of patients Additionally, efficacy and safety evaluations were conducted for both groups of patients. Results The to-tal clinical effective rate of the observation group after treatment was 92.00%(46/50),which was higher than that of the control group at 74.00%(37/50),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, both groups of pa-tients showed a decrease in the TCM syndrome scores compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, both groups of patients exhibited increased blood flow velocities in the basal artery and verte-bral artery compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);additionally,the blood flow velocities in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Following treatment, the serum levels of dopamine and 5-hydroxy tryptamine in both groups of pa-tients increased compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);moreover,the serum lev-els of dopamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).And the observation group was higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).During the treatment period, both groups of patients did not experience serious adverse reactions, and there were no significant abnormalities in liver and kidney function or blood and urine routine tests. Conclusion Patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo treated with Zishuiqingganyin combined with cere-brolysin exhibit significant improvement in clinical symptoms, accelerated cerebral blood flow velocity, increased neuro-transmitter levels. This approach demonstrates remarkable efficacy as well as good safety.
