Visual Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Prevention and Treatment of Refractory Nephrotic Syndrome Based on CiteSpace
Objective To analyze the current status, hot spots and trends of research on traditional Chinese medi-cine(TCM)for the prevention and treatment of refractory nephrotic syndrome(RNS)using CiteSpace software. Methods Relevant literature on the prevention and treatment of RNS using TCM was retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and Si-noMed between January 1,2000 and December 31,2022.The number of publications was counted, and and information such as author collaboration, institution collaboration, and keywords was visually analyzed using CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software to generate knowledge maps. Results A total of 694 literatures were included, with an increasing trend in the number of publications from 2000 to 2018,stabilizing thereafter.A total of 563 authors were involved in the knowledge map,and Dai En-lai was the most prolific the author.A total of 413 research institutions were involved, and Gansu University of Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine had the highest publication count. There were 381 keywords included, forming 10 clusters. The keywords that had emerged in recent years included immune function and inflammatory factors. Conclusion There is still considerable room for the development in the research on TCM for the prevention and treatment of RNS,and the coopera-tion between researchers and institutions needs to be strengthened urgently. The current research hot spots mainly focus on the clinical intervention effects and mechanisms of action of TCM and proprietary Chinese medicines.Establishing stand-ardized treatment protocols is necessary, and further exploration into the mechanisms of action of TCM in preventing and treating RNS is also required.
